About YouthAdvance

YouthAdvance Australia is an Open Award Centre for The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award for participants in NSW, ACT and Victoria and also provides a range of services in support of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, including administrative support for award leaders and a range of Duke of Ed Adventurous Journeys.

YouthAdvance Australia offers a range of Duke of Ed Adventurous Journeys around Australia, from programs on the urban fringes to some of the most remote locations around Australia. We currently offer Bronze, Silver and Gold level programs with activities such as hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing and canyoning. We offer custom programs for schools and Open programs for individuals throughout the year.

YouthAdvance Australia is currently seeking individuals to fulfil the following positions;

Guides – Contracts available for 2020

YouthAdvance will be offering the following contracts in 2020.

  1. Contract 1 – Duration 12 Months (1 staff – Guide), 36 hours per week
  2. Contract 2 – Duration 12 Months (1 staff – Guide), 36 hours per week
  3. Contract 4 – Multi Day / week contracts, 2 – 6 days in length (Multiple Staff)

  1. NSW – Duke of Edinburgh’s Assistant Award Leader

Current Opportunities – For Our Casual Guides

Due to COVID we currently don’t have any upcoming programs but we will have programs up here soon as things begin to ease and we look forward into the second half of the year so please keep an eye on this page!!

Note that all our guides require a current NSW WWCC Certificate, remote area or wilderness first aid qualifications and if you have a LR bus license please advise us.

Staff Training Opportunities

Its important to YouthAdvance that all our staff undertake appropriate and current training to maintain our safety margins and ensure compliance to various requirements, hence all YouthAdvance staff have the opportunity to participate in the regular training course and programs to upskill and increase their knowledge and skills via our training partners public courses
